Solid diner fare. The potatoes are crispy on the outside, soft inside. Biscuits are amazing without being too greasy. The ham, applewood sausage, and even the ribeye are terrific. Good prices too!

For a true corned beef or pastrami sandwich, go to Kenny & Ziggy's, but if you have a craving, and maybe it's a late night, Katz's is fine.
They no longer sell corned beef brisket or brisket pastrami. It's supermarket stuff.
Great breakfast and brunch menu. Some things to try -Vegetable Omelet, Potato Pancake, Everything Bagel, Waffles Corned Beef and Hash, Sweet Potato Fries, Pancakes, and Garlic Bagel.
Great bagels for this part of town. Certainly helps that the JCC is right next door. ;) For a really good / authentic bagel alternative try The Hot Bagel Shop on Shepherd right north of Westheimer.

You get what you ask for here. If you order a corn beef and pastrami on rye with Danish cheese (my personal favorite), that's what you get. No veggies or anything unless you specifically ask.
One of the oldest deli's in town. The food is awesome - high quality & made by hand. Expensive for deli food. Try a party tray.
If you want some of their highly sought after deviled eggs, be sure to get there early!

I had the Seared salmon filet, served with marinated kale & cauliflower, watercress, shaved fennel, white anchovy vinaigrette. Excited my taste buds. Tasty with just the right kind of kick.
