Not your ordinary Mother Goose rhymes! The rhymes are told from different characters and different points of view. At the stop of each revised page, the original rhyme is written. Good exercise for immature readers, or could be used with older readers to talk over how the indicate of view changes a story.
I recall this would be fun to read along with your kid. I think my high schoolers could do some very interesting analysis on some of these-- especially Jack Sprat. And I also call up that some of our inferior high students might similar to use these for their speech competition.

This book has the traditional nursery rhymes from Female parent Goose, just they all of a twist on them and are worded differently. The wording was changed then that there could be two voices. There are split parts for each voice, that are color coded, and each poem has a stanza or two that both voices read together. Bringing me back to my childhood days of Mother Goose Tales, I enjoyed these rhythmic poems. Some poems in this book include my favorite tales of Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill, Little Miss Muffet, and Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater. These dialogue poems are color coded by voice, adding a articulate representation of multiple voices being heard.
